With over 15 years of experience in physical therapy, I have found my passionate with pelvic health and have seen my impact in my clients lives. I graduated from Northwestern University’s Fienberg School of Medicine, Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences in 2009 gaining my doctorate in physical therapy. I enjoy serving a variety of client types and am able to utilize my dry needling certification to assist with neuromuscular and pain control for a number of patient populations. Dr. Sheylyn Schweinfurth graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Minor in Nutrition Sciences. She then continued her education at Cleveland State University becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Dr. Shey’s interest in pelvic floor physical therapy sparked the summer prior to beginning physical therapy school, encouraging her to pursue further education in the specialty of pelvic health from the Herman & Wallace Institute and completing a full-time clinical rotation treating this population. She has found her passion treating pregnant and postpartum women, but also enjoys treating all pelvic health and orthopedic conditions (including the TMJ!) with a focus on manual therapy and purposeful movement! Sheylyn values maintaining a healthy lifestyle by moving her body in ways that are enjoyable, eating whole foods, and not taking life too seriously. In her free time you may find her hiking with her dog, trying new restaurants with her husband, or traveling to gain new experiences!
